Hey guys! My name is Jade and I'll be your weekly writer for The Rage along with Val!

If you’re interested in fashion, art or culture then The Rage Magazine is definitely for you. We’ll be discussing upcoming events, the stories of individual artists on campus, fashion trends, music tastes and anything else you want to hear about!

Since this is our first quarter with The Rage Magazine, I wanted to use it to tell you a little about me. I’m from San Diego, California and I am very new to Washington, but loving it so far! Despite this new concept of rain, which I was very unfamiliar with before coming here, I love to ski and am basically counting down the days until I can go up to Mt. Baker. A little fun fact, I'm currently writing from a cafe in West Portal, San Francisco! A piece of advice to go with that, don't car camp in the back of an old ranger the night before a flight.

I love going to shows and will be writing about local bands and venues once I have explored Bellingham more. What I listen to most right now would be Destroy Boys, Gregory Alan Isakov, Bowie and Alice in Chains. In summary I'm a little all over the place with my music taste but that's the fun of it!

I wanted to work with The Rage Magazine because of a common love and appreciation for expression through art. Being a part of a group that is looking for ways to make people and their art feel seen feels so right because of how art has helped me in my own life. It's working with what you really love.

Hi everyone! My name is Valeria, one of the weekly blog writers for The Rage. I’m excited to be a part of this iconic publication! Each week, Jade and I will talk about fashion trends, new music and cool upcoming events.

A little bit about me.... I’m from Bainbridge Island, Washington. Currently I’m an international business major with a potential minor in journalism. I hope to do a lot of traveling after school, which is why I chose that major! Along with Jade and probably everyone else at Western, I can’t wait to be back at Mt. Baker for the upcoming ski season. I also love everything to do with fashion and music, so I’ll be sharing a lot of that as well.

My friends and I have listening parties almost every week where we share new music we’ve been listening to. This week's notable mentions include; Break You Off by Sonder,

Tickets To Space by NO CIGAR, What You Need by Don Toliver, and Holy Darling by Clothing Optional. A recent personal favorite is We ft. CeeLo Green by Mac Miller. I love finding new music so if anyone has any song recommendations please let me know!

When I first heard about The Rage Magazine I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I told all my friends and anyone who would listen about it. I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it! Everyone at The Rage shares the passion for creating art and I can’t wait to see what we come upwith.
